Inspirated by a bakery shop sign, “Boulanger Pâtissier”, Hélène bring a sensitive touch to the field of squarisch typefaces. Hélène is the baker’s wife, named as a tribute to her joviality, and the smell of fresh croissants that wafted through my childhood. A strong contrast between thin and thick, and balanced proportions are its distinctive traits. It works well in print, especially for logos and headings, as well as for a screen use. A pixel designed version for screen usage is on the way.
