Dolce was presented at Ecole Estienne for the first time after a few months of intensive work. Six months later an enriched and improved version was taking part at the Type Directors Club competition. Now Dolce is the shy and grateful font appearing among the selected typefaces of 2005 in the 26th Annual of the TDC.

Typography 26 also includes a very special section, celebrating the twenty-sixth anniversary publication of the hardcover Annual, of a reprinting of the original catalog pages from the second TDC Competition from 1955, which was the first to have a printed catalog. Reprinted here in the context of the Annual are many of the classic works of modernist typography from that time.
